BEAUTIFUL THING

This movie was sweet, and beautiful. Plus it had a happy ending. It should be lauded for that simple fact alone. A lot of the time gay cinema devolves to cliche, or wallows in its own victimization. This movie managed to move away from all of that and show a simple, sweet love story between two boys.

It's a beautiful montage. It's a beautiful song. It's a beautiful thing. The boys aren't classic model types. They look like average high school kids. I loved it. I'm in tears as I write.
