google points the bad ones out...

Ok, for awhile now the bad sites have been using google to propogate. Optimizing their sites, link farming, all the bad things that get them higher rating. Well google is fighting back. REcnetly they partnered with the folks at www.StopBadware.org and what will happen is when going to a site that sponsors malware, ie viruses, spyware and the like you will get a warning from google. Right now its taking people to a stopbadware page, but in the future the plan is to have the page feature things that are specific to that page. That is an awesome idea, and I hope that there will be some sort of penalty to the sites search engine ranking.

Use AOL to search?

Well apparently AOL recently released its search engine search strings for the perusement of the public. The information from over 658,000 of its members is free knowledge. So,if you use AOL to search more than likely there is a little log that has the search, your time of search, what you searched for etc etc, with a little number attached to it...
I don't want to sound paranoid, but thats kind of insane creepy...

Oh, and if it makes you feel any better, AOL said sorry.
