Big Love

Anyone else watching Big Love? It's this new HBO series. It's kind of interesting. Basically Bill Paxton is playing this Utah Mormonesque polygamist. He has three wives, Jeanne Tripplehorn Chlo? Sevigny Ginnifer Goodwin. And like 1500 kids. Thing is its not like the stereotype, he has three nice suburban homes (attached by backyards, 1 for each wife) and owns a small chain of home improvement stores.

The wives are each different, I have this whole Mother Maiden, Crone theory. You know like the fates? Each wife seems to fit the bill.

Now, one thing that could go either way is the oldest son played by Douglas Smith. He is like obsessed with sex, and tries to repress it. He keeps getting into these homoerotic situations with other guys, like one ep where he has a sleepover and this guy wants to show him his hardon, and the last ep where another guy whipped his hardon out during driving and started drving with it. I kinda hope that something happens. Of course its also hinted at that Bill Paxtons character was a hustler when he was 14.

Yes! I love Big Love actually, it's one of the best written shows on TV I think.

I completely agree about the oldest son, there seems to be a lot of homoerotic tension around his character and it'd be great for him to get some gay action. But he also seems to have somewhat of a flirtatious relationship with the youngest wife, too. I wouldn't be surprised if the two of them had an awkward sexual encounter. They're not blood related so I think it could really make the plot complicated without being toooooo outrageous.

Knowing HBO and their love of sex, maybe he'll hit it with the 3rd wife AND his best friend. That'd be hot.

I second that! It is again one of those HBO shows that builds this immense complexity and excitement with a lot of small snippets sexual tension. I'm still coming off the wall from that motel/hustler seen with Roman's crazy son!
